Happy Friday everyone!

Can you believe we have one week until we track off? We will be tracking off next Friday, August 30th, so please ensure that students are here next week to pack up all their belongings (nothing can be left behind). To make it a smooth transition, I will be asking students to pack up all their belongings in their backpack and keep it in there for the entire month. We are continuously adding to our notebooks and journals and it would be detrimental if lost. If a student happens to lose their notebooks/journals, they will have to recopy all the notes from my notebooks or from a friend.

Today (8/23/19), I passed out their progress reports. I did let the students see them because they are responsible for their own grades and they should be held accountable for them. Please keep in mind that this is a progress report; I am constantly adding more assignments and assessments in, thus their grades are likely to change. If you do have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Also, I wanted to inform you about test corrections. Test corrections are optional. It is entirely up to the student whether or not he/she does a test correction. I do this because the students, again, need to be accountable for their grades, and should learn to take advantage of the opportunity to raise the grade he/she earned. Please keep in mind that any student may do test corrections. I write the date test corrections are due on each student's test/assessment to make sure the students have no excuse of when it should be turned in. Also, note that I do not accept test corrections without a parent/guardian signature. Though the students are accountable for their own grades, as parents/guardians, you still need to be aware of what is occurring. Lastly, please keep in mind that I give ample time for students to seek help, if needed. Please know that students are welcome to seek help anywhere, but please be aware that I am always here to assist them. Again, if you do have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you so much and I hope you all have a great weekend!
