On-Campus Information


ANYONE WHO WILL BE ON CAMPUS REGARDLESS OF FUNCTION MUST HAVE AN APPLICATION ON FILE OR THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON CAMPUS DURING SCHOOL HOURS. 

This includes, Family Friday’s, classroom volunteers, PTA Helpers, Class Events, Field Day, Business Day, Class Parties, etc.

Families, Parents, Volunteers  help foster stronger school-community relationships by creating common ownership in the success of our schools. Not only is the education and safety for our students our focus, but also your safety while on campus. .

Review the following district procedures on being on campus:

Applicants on campus for less than four hours per week (on average, over a four-week period):

Complete the Volunteer Application form.

Complete the Covid 19 Addendum

Provide a valid government photo identification.

School site staff will verify that the volunteer applicant is not listed on the Megan’s Law website.

Proof of a negative TB results, Chest X-Ray or Risk Assessment is required (must be current within 60 days of submitting a volunteer application). 


Applicants for more than 4 hours per week (on average, over a four-week period):

Complete the Volunteer Application form.

Complete the Covid 19 Addendum.

Provide a valid government photo identification.

School site staff will verify that the volunteer applicant is not listed on the Meagan’s Law website.

Proof of a negative TB results, Chest X-Ray or Risk Assessment is required (must be current with 60 days of submitting a volunteer application).

Fingerprint clearance is required from the DOJ (Department of Justice) and FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation).

 

Chaperones: Any person(s) interested in chaperoning, supervising children, attending field trip, a designated driver (transporting students), and/or assisting with school activities sponsored by CNUSD will need to:

Complete the Volunteer Application form.

Complete the Covid 19 Addendum.

Provide valid a government photo identification.

School site staff will verify that the volunteer applicant is not listed on the Meagan’s Law website.

*Rainy Day Dismissal Plan 

In the event of RAIN during afternoon dismissal, please follow the dismissal guidelines below:

PM Kinder / 1st Grade and their siblings on the Harrison side – NO CHANGE (students will wait under the covering)

2nd / 3rd / 4th Grades and older siblings will dismiss through the MPR.

  • Walkers will be released outside
  • Students with umbrellas will be permitted to wait outside on the yellow line
  • Students without umbrellas will wait in the MPR until their ride arrives

5th / 6th Grades will dismiss through the schools main doors and wait under the awning of the main entry
